  • Only cold water, no hot water ..how to fix?

I just moved in my brand new home for a year. We have 2 bathrooms in our house and we only use only one bathroom, the other guest bathroom is rarely used.

When I moved in, I tested the water flow in both bathrooms, I everything was fine. SO after a year the guest shower tub has not been used, the hot water is not running too. This is a single mixer valve that has only one single nob. When I turn to cold, it gets cold, but when I turn to hot nothing is running.

Could someone please show me how to fix this?

    Thanks so much!

When you first tested these showers was hot and cold water available from both ?

There might be a shut off valve for the hot that is turned off.

The mixer itself might need to be adjusted, they have a built in anti scold feature. To do this you need a small allen key/hex key to remove the handle and then you should see a usually white sleeve that fits inside this sleeve will need to be removed and rotated anti clockwise and refitted, put it all back together and if this was the problem it should get hotter now.
Little about a lot and a lot about a little.

You could have a pressure-balanced type anti-scald device, in which the spool is stuck. A picture of the shower handle would help us identify it more precisely.
