    Hot water tank blower motor

Hi New to the forum and need some advice.
The blower motor on my gas State hot water tank has finally broken. It's a 1994 model and to replace the motor would be just under $200. How difficult is this job? Is it better to replace this tank than to repair the blower motor?

The average tank in my area lasts about 12 years. It's a tough call because your water heater is an expensive one. You could replace the motor and end up with a leaky tank in a few months. Of course it could last several more years.
