I'm trying to decide on the height for my kitchen stub out. Not sure if I will be getting a deep sink or a normal size so I want to plan the stub out for all options. The lowest I haved heard was at 14 inches. Any opinions on stub out height? Thanks.

Typically we make the waist arm at 16" to 18" unless there is a specific reason such as a deep sink, on the other hand, the code will allow the tailpiece from the sink to be a maximum of 24" vertical from the elevation of the drain opening to the water level in the trap. In most instances 14" would be adequate for a deep sink, but i would measure the cabinet height, deduct the sink depth then deduct another 6" or even more if there is going to be a disposal on the deep sink.

Well the sink is a single bowl 9 inches deep undermount and probably we'll add a disposal. I forgot to ask if the stubout is better placed in the center of the sink or to a side if there is a disposal involved? Or is this not too important? Thanks.
