  • Shower Leak - Help

While trying to replace the seats on my shower I created a leak at the joint in the picture attached. Is this something I can solder? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I doubt if you could get it hot enough to take the solder. the joint has to be absolutely clean first to accept any paste flux.

So what are my options? Should I just call in a plumber?

change out the tempering valve. that's what the plumber would do.

          shower cold water shutoff screw

Ok, I was actually able to solder the leak.

But now I noticed that the cold water shutoff screw is slowly dripping. Please see picture. Is this part replaceable by taking off the nut behind it?

there is probably a faucet stem washer like a conventional faucet only smaller with an "O" ring packing on the stem. the brass gland nut should unscrew and release the faucet stem. while you have it out, look inside at the brass seat with a flashlight. it may be replaceable. probably takes an allen wrench to remove it.
