  • Newbie Question

I am a very new home owner. This past weekend, I heard for the first time what sound like water/air bubbles running through my pipes for my radiators in my dining room and kitchen. Is this normal or is it a potential problem?? Thanks for any input!

If its a steam system that "water" would be condensate flowing back to the boiler. If its a hydrionic system "baseboard" hot water then there could be some entrapped air in the pipes. That air will eventually accumilate in your expansion tank but you shouldn't worry about it. Normally air is bled out at the highest and furthest point from the boiler loop.
