  • washing machine drain

I am planning to install a new washer and dryer in a closet area of a condo. There is a seperate condo above. Can I tie the washing machine drain into the 2" drain of either the kitchen sink or bathroom sink or do I need to T into the main stack? They used ABS type piping to plumb the building. Thanks

Main stack would be much more sensible. That way you don't open yourself up for any future issues.

Many codes specify the washer to be a dedicated 2" drain to a larger drain...
Even if not required that will yield fewer potential problems.
I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
      Now I can Plumb!

Did you know some Redwood Pipe is still in service today.
