  • Toilet Leaking Problem

Water is leaking inside my toilet, so I've replaced the rubber flapper and fill valve. Since replacing the fill valve the water leak inside the toilet has increased. The connection is fairly straightforward, so I don't know what I did wrong. The only part I didn't replace with the fill valve kit is the plastic connection on the end of the supply line. The old connection works fine so I don't see the need to replace it with the new plastic connector that comes with the fill valve.

I've included a photo of the old, existing supply line connector that I have continued to use with the new fill valve.

Thanks for any tips on what I might have done wrong in trying to stop the water leak inside the toilet bowl.

if the condition of the rubber seal is deteriorated remove it and use the insert from the kit. I had a similar problem with my flush-master ballcock but my ss tube didn't leak.
