    Hey there!

If your toilet water keeps running after flushing, it’s usually due to a faulty part in the tank. Here are a few DIY tips to try before calling a plumber:

    1. Check the Flapper: The flapper is a rubber piece at the bottom of the tank that lifts when you flush, letting water out. If it's not sealing properly, water will keep flowing. Make sure it's seated correctly and not worn out. If it’s worn, a quick replacement is inexpensive and easy.

    2. Inspect the Chain: The chain that connects the flush handle to the flapper may be too long or too short. If it’s too tight, it won’t let the flapper close fully. If it’s too loose, it might get tangled, preventing the flapper from sealing. Adjust the chain length for a proper seal.

    3. Adjust the Float: The float controls how much water refills the tank. If it's set too high, water will keep flowing into the overflow tube. You can adjust it to the right level by bending the arm of the float or using the adjustment screw, depending on the type of float you have.

    4. Check the Fill Valve: If the fill valve isn’t shutting off properly, it could cause continuous water flow. Try cleaning it or adjusting the water level. If cleaning doesn’t help, you might need to replace it.

Hopefully, one of these fixes gets things working again!
