Iron Pipe Broken threads

While attempting to fix a melted section of the gas line that is in my fireplace, i managed to break most of the pipe INCLUDING the threads of the pipe that comes out of the wall. i only have about 2 inches of clearance to thread this thing to put new pipe on .. any ideas?

None other than a small demolition to get to the first elbow of the gas line.

do you have any access to the back of the fireplace out side? or below the ground? or in the basement maybe?
you might want to pursue this from that angle, but think you've already been thinking about that.
