  • walk in tile shower" without a pan"

Hey guys, remember the old locker room showers? You just walked right in there. Well guess what, they are totally hip right now. How do you install one of those (Flooring and all) ? Without having water go all over the bathroom. I mean how do you slope the tiled floor gradually without it being noticeable.
    Thanks for your help

The plumbing code says the floor must have a minimum pitch of 1/4" per foot downwards towards the drain but no portion of the floor may pitch more than 1/2" per foot.

The code also requires that the elevation of the threshold must be a minimum of 2" higher than the finished elevation of the drain therefore you would need a minimum of 4' from the drain opening to the doorway with a 1/2" per foot pitch or a minimum of 8 feet from the doorway to the drain with a 1/4" per foot pitch.
