    Hi all,

I've been renovating my bathroom for the past...year. Yeah, I know. But the tub, toilet and sink have been functional, so my husband's allowed me the time to figure out the wall coverings. However, I'm having a heck of a time with the beadboard. It only comes in 4 foot lengths (though 8 foot heights, go figure), so for an eight-foot long wall, I need to put up two lengths of beadboard and somehow join them seamlessly. How is this done? I tried wood filler and caulk, and got joints that cracked.

I suspect you are talking about wainscoting.
Tongue and groove boards with a bead finish detail on one side of the board that separates the 2 once installed.

If so, you should be able to get 8 ft lengths at your local lumber supply. The boards you are using are probably designed to fit under a chair rail molding.

In any case, if you want to use the 4-foot sections, back cut (miter) the end cuts. This will help with the cracking.
