  • texturing vinyl wrapped sheetrock

I have had this house 8 yrs. It has vinyl wrapped sheetrock with wrpped slats over the seams. I'd like to tape and texture the walls but don't know if it will stick. Anybody know?

What kind of house is this? I've never heard of vinyl sheetrock but thats not saying your not correct with your topic, but sounds like it could be wall-decor sheetrock that is most commonly used in mobile homes. If this is what you have then this is what I did, I removed the strips that covered the seams from floor to ceiling & also removed the strips around window jams and replaced the corners of walls and windows with cornerbead (square or round your choice) & then taped the seams of the wallboard like regular drywall and then proceded to finish like regular drywall job. If this is your first drywall job start in a bedroom or spare room to get the hang of it so by time you get to the kit/living room your work will have improved for the public eye.
