  • HOPPER GUN WON'T SHOOT CEILINGS

I'm shooting a knockdown texture in my kitchen, bedroom, and living area. I rented a hopper for the bedroom and it came out great. I used a different hopper for the kitchen. I had a lot of trouble in the kitchen. I had a hell of a time getting the hopper to spray the ceiling. Can anyone tell me why, before I use it in the living area.

I had the same problem with a paint sprayer that I used for the basement. The trouble was, the attached tank didn't have a valve to keep the paint from getting up in the housing when I tilted the unit, and the thing would spew and choke. I tried the extension hose that you tuck into the paint can. But still a problem with choking. I ended up getting really close to the ceiling and doing it at a slight angle and just dealing with the overspray all over the tarp on the floor. But the paint got on--and it helped to only fill the tank halfway--Heck, I'd say find the bedroom hopper. Maybe it was a more detailed unit.
