Painting a brick patio

I have a brick patio 14X23 ft. It looks very dull and worn out. What can I do to bring back the vibrant red color it once had?, Can I use cement paint?, I already tried a milky liquid to bring out the shine but it did not work.

Rent a power washer of around 2250 PSI and clean it with that. Be care ful around the joints, as it will eat away at mortar and such. Use about a three inch wide spray and keep it a CONTSTANT distance (maybe 6 inches). Keep it moving at a fairly steady rate. That will clean the brick quite nicely and should restore it's color provided it's not sealed. After you do this, let it dry and then coat with a 'breathable' sealer for brick. I don't know any brand names, but do know that type sealer is available. Maybe a painter's supply shop or a brick manufacturer could recommend a few.
