how to insulate walls

We have a front bedroom that apparantly was a porch at some point and this room gets very cold in the winter. We are interested in insulating the room, but not sure how to go about it.

do you have any plans of renovating the room? i.e. removing the wallboard?
if not you may have to get blown in insulation put in the wall cavities.
