What is the correct spacing for screws in drywall walls/ceiling?

I'd suggest 7" on ceilings and 8" on walls. Below is a link that'll help out some.

6 and 8 (Same as plywood)
6" along the edges (on both 4' sides) and 8" in the feild (The rest of the area) and be sure to use drywall adhesive
If you think a professional is expensive,
Just see what till you see what an amature will cost you!!
