  • Insulating basement ceiling--HELP

    Hey guys,

I have a large basement that is served by a separate zone of my heating system. However, I keep the basement pretty chilly ~55 degrees. The first floor tile floors get very very chilly, and I wanted to insulate the basement ceiling. I found a chart that says what time of insulation I should use, but I am confused about this vapor barier.

It appears that the paper side of the insulation should face the subfloor?? But alot of the partial insulation that is there has the paper facing the basement. Any thoughts? How do I get this done?

    Thanks

The vapor barrier sits next to the heated space (subfloor in this case) if not it could trap moisture.
