Small Burn-mark on Wall

I need help going about fixing a wooden wall that has been lightly burnt by a candle. The mark this left on a wall is about 2 inches in diameter. It's not a burnt wall, but more of a dark burnlike smear. It would have been easy to paint over, however, the wall is a series of unpainted vertical wooden blocks.

Any ideas?

Try 320 grit aluminum oxide open coat sandpaper. The burn mark may not be charred wood just the carbon from the candle.
