    cutting cultured marble

    cutting cultured marble???
    I need to cut a cultured marble panel to fit around my bathe tub only
    3/8" down to o" this will remove a gap in the walls I need to have a stright cut.on a five foot long panel. how can I do this without damage. Thank you

    use a 7 1/4" dry cut diamond blade and a straight edge clamped to the slab. cut very slowly and steady.

      ok thanks, I have herd that the bldae will gum up? is this a fact ? should I try a belt sander? Thanks

        The following was taken from the "Cul-Mar cultured marble site:
        "Cultured marble can be cut by a skill saw with a carborundum (masonry) blade. A belt sander can be used to grind down the edge." I figured on using a dry cut diamond because of less dust than with a masonary blade. Use a good dust mask.
