    Hi all,
Just finished removing 4 layers of wallpaper in a spare room. While removing the wallpaper, I found loose plaster that had crumbled and pulled away from the lathes. I removed the loose plaster(on walls) and now I am left with some sizable holes to patch. Some are 2'x3', some are smaller. All are irregular in shape. I want to use a material that I can finish with a wet sponge and not sandpaper. Any suggestions? Also would appreciate any special tips and techniques. The lathes are still in good shape.
Also, some plaster areas on the ceiling are sagging. These are small areas. Is there a way to save the old plaster and re-connect the plaster to the ceiling lathes?

    thanks

    Rhettfcr,
I recently had a similar problem and was told to try Durabond 90. It worked great! Filled in all the large gaping holes on our backsplash area, dried within 90 minutes, and as hard as a rock. Maybe someone with more knowledge or experience on this product could reply, but like i said, durabond 90 worked for us.
