  • Painting a wall with peeling paint

I have a wall in our bathroom that we would like to paint and we scraped off as much paint as possible. My question is how do you hide the transition from the paint that is already there to the new paint. We plan on primer and then painting but I think you will be able to see where we stopped scraping.
    Any Thoughts?

As long as the remaining paint is firm on the wall, use drywall mud and a wide blade drywall blade. Skim coat the effected area then sand to a smooth transition.
If there is any torn drywall paper exposed paint the effected area with an oil based primer first, when the oil primer is dry it stops the paper absorbing moisture and peeling or bubbling up.
Little about a lot and a lot about a little.
