ranch house with cellar. i have a 12 foot elephant plant growing up against the house. will the roots get so big will they break thru the cinder block foundation.should i cut the plant down be cause it started growing on its own. i didn't plant it ?

No, Elephant ear plants will not damage foundations of basement walls. They grow from bulbs and have a very soft cellular root structure.
