roofing labor cost?

Hi,

I have an 1100 sq ft roof that has an easy slope. Just shingle and cap, nothing complicated. It is in north central ill. Anyone know what the low- high labor cost will be? Thanks.

I was quoted $100 a square by some upstate ny locals. a square in shingles covers 100 square feet.

I got two quotes from two local companies. for approx 1200 sq ft using metal roof, one quote $10,600 one $11,300

A friend made it sound easy to put a metal roof on. Paper, slats, and metal. I got one quote from 3200-3500.

I haven't heard from the other one yet.
