storm door handle

I need to replace my storm door handle but I cant figure out what the 4" measurement refers to

There aren't very many different storm door handles. You can hardly go wrong. Two screws hold the two sides together and two screws hold the catch on the door jamb.

Okay,thanks Speedbump. I was curious about the different sizes they had listed with the handles, ie 3 1/2, 4 etc.

I would just take the old one off and take it with me to compare with the new one. My Wife never trusted me with a tape measure anyhow.
