cleaning exterior brick

Hi, my mother's house has a brick exterior with white-painted aluminum siding above it The brick is maybe 12-15 feet high with a "triangle" of siding above it (leading up to the ridge). Over many years the paint has leached onto the brick, leaving white stains.

Can this be cleaned off somehow? Can the brick be "brought back to life"?

pressure washing may be the only way but it'll take the weathering of the brick with it.
