Hi. In the front of our house is a set of about ten steps which are made from ~2" thick flagstones laid atop a brick foundation (I don't know if the foundation is solid brick or not since the prior owner put then in but you can see brick when looking straight on at the stairs. There is also a steel railing anchored through a hole in the flagstones down into the foundation. The very top flagstone with the railing post in it has come loose so the railing wobbles (but is still anchored by two other posts lower down. In fact, it is the top slate plus one layer of brick below that has come loose from the rest of the foundation. What is the best way to repair this? Since the post is there, it is not possible to pull up just that stone without pulling up all three posts. Is there an epoxy or some other adhesive I can try to inject into the crack from the front of the step (so it flows underneath the slab and readheres it) and then refill the mortar over top of that? What would people recommend?
Thanks.
Thanks.
