  • gutter repair

I was taking down a 45 foot blue spruce that died in fron tof our house and one of the crowns came down and just kissed the corner/ end of the rain gutter and crunched it in.

QUESTION: How do you fix this? Can I just cut that section out and splice a section into that?

OR does the entire section have to be replaced?

It looks crappy enough that I have to do something.

    cheers

    gutter crushed by tree

You could try and cut out and just replace the damage part of your gutter. However, most gutters these days tend to be seemless. With seamless gutters trying to just replace a part could result in problems with leaks. Also trying to match the current gutter may also poise a problem.

Even if your gutter is not seamless, you still may have a problem with matching. Replacing the entire run may cost you less in the long run.

    Good luck,
