    hey guys

a pipe burst over the garage door opener (Genie) and now there is no power coming into the unit. is this something i can handle or do you think I should call a professional?

i have it plugged into a place that is definitely powered. i checked all the circuit breakers and gfci things

depending on the unit, you may be able to replace the logic board as it is the only thing that would have been effected by water dumping on it. But, some models are of the cheaper design and once the logic board is fried, its not economical to replace, a whole new unit is needed. Open yours and look for your self if it looks like it will come out and get on ebay and start matching numbers to see whats out there. You will know right off the bat if yours can be replaced by what you find online. Good luck.
