Chamberlain 1/2 model2220 won't close.

The problem I am having is on a Chamberlain lifmaster 1/2 hp model 2220. I came home last night and used my remote from the car to open the door. It worked fine. After parking the car in the garage I noticed the lights had not come on. I went to unscrew the bulbs and the second bulb shorted out causing a pop ( bulb detatched from metal screw base of bulb. After that the unit would no go back down. I put it down manually and unplugged it. This morning I tried it again and it will not do anything. It just makes a click noise when you push any of the buttons and then a double click.

be sure your photo eyes are aligned properly as the unit will not allow itself to close the door with out them in place. replace the bulb again and attempt to run the unit again while disengaged from the door. If the unit stops and reverses and blinks the light bulb a flashing code, you will get your answer. If none of that works, then that was the easy and cheaper thing to try, I believe you may then need to replace the logic board. Can be found on Ebay or other sites for do it your selfers, pull yours out and match the numbers for ones on the internet. Good luck.

Thanks it turned out to be the logic board. Problem solved!!!
