I have the Chamberlain 3/4 belt drive with the battery back up. A couple of months ago it started opening on its own. There are no other garage doors in or around my house. I suspected one of the remotes so I pulled the batteries out of all of them but still had the problem. I have to keep the garage control button in the locked position another words long press the lock button and it will quick flash until you unlock it. This works but also keeps me from using the remotes so I suspected the control button on the wall in my garage is where the problem is. I took it off and replaced it with a doorbell button. So now I have the doorbell button and garage door opener only, no remotes and it still is opening on its own. What do you think? Thanks for any idea. Probably just buy another.

If it is a Chamberlain press and hold the learn button on the operator until the light goes out. This will clear all programming. Now you need to reprogram all remotes, keyless entries, etc. Instructions should be on the unit. Let me know if this helps.

Yes like helper said...do a master clear and re-program...if you still have issues you can swap out the circuit board with another frequency most of the time......

Car remotes, radios ,cb's, cellphone can all sometime set them off.
Changing the setting should fix the problem
