  • garage door unit problem

when my garage door was going up my daughter who weighs 70 pounds grabbed onto the bottom of it and filted her off the ground. Now when I use my opener from my car the door will open but if I use it to close the unit just flashes. If I use the keypad inside the garage and press it once the unit flashes but if I hit it a second time and hold it without releasing it, it will open the whole way or close the whole way. I have tried unplugging the unit but nothing. ANY help would be great I don't know the unit but believe it is a craftsman but it is 1/2

You have to have both lights lit on each sensor for your door to close....When you hold in the wall button on the inside of your garage you are bypassing the safety feature of your operator thus lets you close your door..Also check your sensitivity on the back of the operator (normally 2 white dials) make sure they are about half way in between high and low.......When your daughter got lifted off the ground chances are when she landed back on the ground she landed on one of the sensors and now they are out of whack................
