  • Remouts don't open garage door except one with keypad attached to outside.

Hi, My 2 remouts don't open garage door except one with keypad attached to outside. LED light on wall switch is blinking. I pressed and held lock button for several second and it still blinking and openers don't function. Thanks

The LED should have turned off when you held the lock button. Is it possible that the install wall button is from a previously installed opener? The flashing LED indicates the opener is in lock mode. It is quite common for an installer to leave the old wall button when installing a new opener. The newer openers aren't compatible with the older multi-function wall consoles.

It would help to know the brand of opener you have.

Wall switch and and outside keypad opener are original ones. Two remotes are relatively new but they worked before with no problem more then a year. And it is Sears Best/Craftsman model. Thanks.

Any idea how old it is? Look at the unit where the wall-button wires into the control board, is there a grey, yellow, green, red or purple learn button? You can try clearing the unit by holding the button down for 25 seconds. After the unit is cleared, you will need to reprogram the remotes. Press the button you just held down and release it, then press the remote button. The unit should click and the light flash. Repeat this for the other remote.
