Sears Craftsman garage door opener

I have a Sears Garage door opener model 139-53985dm. I would like to stop the door about 3/4 the way down and leave it there to let the hot air from the garage out. If I hit the remote again as the door is coming down it goes back up. Can this be done. Thanks. Richard100

Close the door all the way down, then open it back up and stop it where you like and it will stay.
