Hmm never heard that the infrared could be dispersed by a fogged surface?

    started a topic garage door

    garage door

would any one know if one of the safety eyes on the garage door opener lens is fogged up would that hinder the door from coming down. when I hit the wall switch I have to hold it until the door isclosed. If i let go the door stops and goes back up.I checked the alignment and that seems alright, but there is fog on the inside of the one that has the green light in it which is not lit. Its a sears opener.
    Thanks
