garage door opens after power outage (help)!!

I have an older Chamberlain (not sure of model or age) electric garage door opener which has the pesky habit of opening by itself after a power outage immediately after the power has been restored. Works great other than this annyoance. Does anyone have any experience with this phenomena?

only thing that comes to mind is the operating relays are "fail safe - open" -- that is the relays are normally operating when power is applied , but when power is interrupted they assume a closed position in the motor circuit to open the door. Normally closed relays that normally operate open when power is on are closed - opening the door when power is restored.
