My craftsman garage door sensor turned amber with the other one green.I cannot seem to line it up to go green.Do the sensors go bad and have to be replaced?

sometimes they do. they're an infrared led transmitter and a photo-transistor receiver. -

Most likely that is the color it is suppose to be. One is a receiving eye, the other a sending eye, on craftsman (liftmaster, chamberlain) the sending eye is amber and the receiving eye green. If the green eye is solidly lit up, odds are the photo eyes are not the problem.Comment
