Craftsman Garage Door remotes will not work

Now can not reset the codes back into the remotes Holding the Remote button then pressing the red button on the back of the motor The green light should flash but it does not Any ideas what is wrong? Following the manual no luck. Even replaced batteries

Disconnect the entire motor from it's power source, wait a couple of minutes and then try to reset the remotes.

On the older models from chamberlain with the red learn button, You should be using the security plus remotes with 390mhz frequency. The problem many run into is when they buy a new remote to add to the unit, they get an older model remote that uses the old million code remote. Since this models circuit board is retrograde to the older million code system this will cause the security plus remotes to not program and effectively erase them.

All remotes must be the same technology.
