    Genie Excelerator H8000D Remote

I have just moved into a house with a Genie Excelerator Model H8000D garage door opener. One of the remote control units does not work. What do I get as a replacement? I can find neither dip switches nor a learn button on the opener. All remote control unit descriptions appear to assume that one or the other will be present.

      program remote

Their is a learn button on this unit, it is underneath the light (lens) cover. on the back side of the unit. it is inset in top of the underneath side. it should be a black button probably off on the corner near a red l.e.d. light. you may just need to replace the battery in the remote. but i would recomment erasing all the codes to the unit by holding the learn button till the red light goes off and then programming each remote and keypad again.

        Many Thanks!

        gdoorpro:

Thank you so much for your help. With your information, I have located the Learn button (it IS rather well hidden) and programmed my remotes.

        Blessings,
