I made a video to show what's going on:
youtube . com/watch?v=4mKGEs3kihY
(sorry for the broken link, I guess I'm prevented from posting links since I'm a new user to avoid spammers)
In takes #1, #3, and #5, I push forward at a speed that seems to be enough for the momentum to "pull" the garage all the way closed. But the speed I'm pushing at is faster than the motor runs. In takes #2 and #4, I push at the speed the motor would push and when the garage is almost completely closed, the last panel just jams. When its connected to the motor, it actually begins to badly bend the top panel of the garage.
I've reinforced the horizontal stiffener that runs across the top of the garage. I've also reinforced the vertical bar on the garage door that the motor arm is attached to. I've also bought garage door lubricant from Home Depot and sprayed down the rails, the wheels, and the chain. That seemed to help a things a bit as far as smoothness, but it still jams when it gets to the last panel during the closing! (when not moving at a faster speed)
I'm kind of going crazy. Any ideas on what else I need to check/replace to fix this thing?
Thanks!
