  • Garage door only works from outside keypad after todays electrical storm

We had a humdinger of a thunder storm today and hear a lightening strike pretty close. Now the garage door doesnt ooen and close from the inside controller or the keypad from the alarm keypads in the house.

it will only open and close from the outside keypad.

    any ideas?
It\'s sometimes better to be lucky than smart.

It sounds like the lightning storm might have affected your garage door opener’s internal electronics or wiring. First, check the wiring connections on the inside controller and keypad to ensure they’re secure and undamaged. Sometimes, a power surge can disrupt the connections or cause temporary malfunctions. Try resetting the garage door opener by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. If the issue persists, you might need to replace the inside controller or keypad if they were damaged. If you're still having trouble, it might be worth having a professional technician inspect the system to ensure everything is functioning properly.

Ah, it have been a while since you posted this and hopefully you got it fixed.
