  • Leaf blower recommendations

Used my daughter’s 9 lb hedge trimmer and it wore me out—holding that weight out front is tough. I’m looking for a lightweight, battery-powered leaf blower (no backpack) to clear grass off 200+ feet of sidewalk. No leaves or heavy debris.
Some models weigh just 2–4 lbs and push 100 mph airspeed. Is that enough? Also curious if anyone’s tried the Novorik leaf blower—how does it compare?
    Thanks for the help!

I haven’t used the Novorik blower myself, so I can’t say how it performs. For clearing grass clippings off a long sidewalk, a lightweight battery blower in the 2 to 4 pound range could be enough, especially if the clippings are dry. The mph rating is only part of the picture, since airflow volume (CFM) also affects how well it moves debris. Some of the lightest models may have lower airflow, so in certain conditions you might need more passes to get everything clear. A lighter tool will definitely feel easier on the arms compared to heavier options, and for light cleanup jobs comfort can be just as important as maximum power. Battery models also avoid fuel mixing, pull starts, and exhaust. If you already have other battery tools, choosing a blower that uses the same system can save on cost and make things more convenient.
