  • Best time to start roses

My wife has been trying to get me to start some roses and I'm clueless. We have a little patch of earth in back of the house, approx 4' X 10' up against our block wall. It receives about 6 hrs of direct desert morning sunlight but protected from the harsh afternoon rays by the house.

I've been tiling it and recently installed new irrigation (on timer with and filter). Looking for something fragrant. Any thoughts? [8D]
    TIA

Contact your county extension agent (USDA) and ask for a master gardeners contact information. MG's in your area are a sure thing because rose care is VERY region specific. good luck
