    French drain

I am new to this. I would like to know the difficulty factor for building a french drain and installing a sump pump to transfere water to the street. I live in lower SC and it stays wet here.
    Thanks

Well you dig a trench about 8 inches to a foot wide and deep, line it with a porous fabric (delux effort here) throw in some perforated pipe and join with fittings to a sump pit, cover with 3/4 gravel and viola you got yourself a french drain.

Dig a deeper pit and plop in a sump box - connect to the pipe and you got a french drain with a sump. No biggee.
