I am thinking about getting a Gator mulching blade for my Craftsman 22" mulching rear wheel self-propelled. I have read a lot of good reviews on them. However, should I get the high lifts or the normal ones? I read that high lifts may be harder on the engine and shaft but it really mulches well and avoides clumps. Any opinions?
Also, I posted a fertilizer thread last year and got some good tips. This year I am going to nix the crab grass, weed and insect preventors. Instead I will just use a good seed and feed 4 times throughout the year. Anyone use Lesco brand? I have heard a few good things and it is cheaper than Scotts.
