How to grow veggies indoors?

Vegetable gardening is my favorite hobby. I missed the chance to grow fresh veggies outside this year, so I am planning to grow small tomatoes, vidalia onions and garlic indoor. Growing vegetables indoor is for sure very different from growing them outdoor. I am totally confused and don't know where to start from. Looking for your tips and advice from your personal experience.

New to this as well but I did save a hot pepper plant from the dead from last spring. Over the summer it never grew peppers because our summer was so cold. I took it to work over the fall and winter and now it is starting to bud peppers!

I just looked online, do you have a grow store near you. I do they sell every thing needed to grow indoors like lights and such. Plus you can get all your information from them.
