love my skylight.mine opens and closes with remote.great to air out kitchen.its alot of work.had my skylight put in when roof was reshingled.i did the rest.you have to open up kitchen ceiling,make frame for skylight in attic,insulate it,drywall it and so on.check out black and decker book.complete photo guide to home improvement

Short of making a light chase through the upstairs room, you are pretty much stuck with your wonderfull windows.

I have tiled celings in EVERY ROOM of the home and above it is a sub floor and above the sub floor is a spacious attic. Now I want to put sky lights in the kitchen celing but Unsure how to do so with the attic space, subflooring and the celing tile in the way. HELP!!!!
