i want to add a carport to the side of my garage.have a good idea of how to build it.it will measure 20 long and 12 wide.the roof will have a slight slope to it.probally 2 or 3 inches over 12 feet.i want to put that corrugated metal stuff on.do i need to put flashing under garage roof where carport roof will meet it?really dont want no leaks.thanks

wherever you have water run off you need to continue this run off to the next surface. being that you have another roof to content with - a drip edge and flashing between the existing wall and roof surface is needed. Any water that decides to flow backward along the new roof needs to be stopped and the new roof flashing will effect this. -
