Drive-by VIDEO Advertising on this FORUM

A lot has changed in years i have been with this forum.

I come here all the time when I think I need a dependable sounding board for my projects.

Today is no different. But to day I visit my post and a video window opens and begins to play some political video...which is OKAY because it is for Obama's re-election but when I go to turn it off it takes me off site to another webpage.

I do not want to see this forum fall into the pitfalls of advertising and profit because it is about home repair.

If the forum needs money to continue to operate I think the alterantives or oprtions should be presented to the rest of us instead of drivebys..

I am just saying.

I went back in to see the video content and it is a non-stop littany of audio visual advertising assault with the same content no matter where one is on this forum...

Please REMOVE this stuff We get enough of the "non pop-up" java scripted pop ups in our normal activities.

Well, I was just corrected to the fact that the video only plays if your not signed in. Which for some reason on this forum, it won't remember me like all others do. Must be a cookie problem.

The fact that you thought it was ok that the video was one for the support of the present Presidents re-election deeply troubles me. Hopefully you will grow up - wake up and vote the right way in a couple of months. Or there probably won't be any Forums to post on in the near future.

Try signing in when you make your appearance here and you won't be bothered by the Obama commercials.
