Anyone ever paint exterior asbestos siding?

I'm purchasing an older that has those rectangle asbestos shingle siding thingies. With all the other more important issues that need to be address first, residing will have to wait. But for now, has anyone ever heard of painting that type of siding? If so, would just a regular exterior paint work? The siding is in great shape, it's just an ulgy bright green!

May cost a pretty penny but you can prime in with a product called KILZ. It is designed to cover just about anything that likes to bleed thru paint. After using this then paint with using your choice of color. TALK TO YOUR LOCAL PAINT SUPPLIER TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO DO WHAT YOU WANT.
