For those who may not have noticed, Thanks to Troy's efforts we now have an illustration library under "All Forums"--Illustrations"

In turn, Hazee and I have begun creating illustrations for some of the more common questions we receive.

I would like to invite everyone who frequents our forums to browse through the illustrations and give us your comments as well as suggestions on additional topics that may require an illustration.

    Thank you one and all.

I think the illustrations are great! For people like me, who need LOTS of help, they are extremely helpful and I just want to say thanks for taking the time to make them. I'm sure they took alot of time.

I certainly thank you for those kind words.

After I saw the fine results Hayzee had with the "Microsoft Paint" program I began trying my hand at it too. I have found that program to be extremely user friendly and with just a bit of practice you can create an respectable illustration in 10 to 20 minutes. Often it is quicker and easier to create the illustration than to describe the solution in text, and I think it certainly is easier to convey the message by combining text with an illustration.

Not only will paint permit you to create illustrations from scratch, but you can also open a photo in paint, then edit it with text overlay.

I agree that it is often easier and quicker to create the illustration than to describe a solution, and it is easier for the readers as well. I think your and Hayzee's illustrations are great!

Anyone who has drawn illustrations but doesn't understand how to upload, just shoot an email to support@homerepairforum.com and someone will try to help.
